This event needs a Coordinator. Email [email protected] if you are interested to volunteer as the Coordinator for this event or if you would like to help the Coordinator in some way.

Coordinator is responsible to organize the bike parade and activities to do at the Clubhouse, which is the end of the parade route.

Lake Terrapin July 4 Parade Route

  • This event is open to anyone from age 1 to 99.
  • Parade Starts at 10:15 am so be in the Cul-de-sac and ready to go by 10 am. Please park along Lake Terrapin Drive and walk to the Cul-de-sac. Please do not park in the Clubhouse Parking Lot, it will be closed and used for the End of Parade Event.
  • Residents can walk the 0.4 mile route, pull a wagon, or ride a bike. Volunteers will be along the route in safety vests to help direct traffic around the parade route. Use this SignUp Genius to volunteer to be one of the four safety volunteers.
  • Decorating the bike is allowed, provided it does not hinder the safe operation of the bike. Children riding a bike must wear an approved helmet.
  • Pets may accompany their owners on the parade route but must be on a short leash and be well behaved in large crowds around many children on bikes. We want this event to be fun for everyone so owners should exit the parade route if their pet starts to become disruptive.

The End of Parade Event

  • The parade route will begin in the cul-d-sac of Daybreak Lane and end at the Lake Terrapin Clubhouse with a reception setup for the children and parents.
  • Light refreshments will be served: Drinks, watermelon, snow cones and Holiday Themed Desserts brought by residents will be provided. Use this SignUp Genius Link to volunteer to help at the End of Parade Event.
  • Residents are asked to not park in the Clubhouse Parking Lot, which will be used for the End of Parade Event.
  • Lake Terrapin residents are encouraged to bring a holiday themed dessert to share. Please also bring some plates or forks if required to eat your dessert.
  • The Social Committee will be awarding Certificates of Recognition for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for the best July 4th Theme Dessert Decoration.
