• Answer: Residents are responsible to maintain their yard to include cutting the grass regularly, keeping the lawn free of weeds, seeding new grass, and preventing dead grass spots. Grass between the sidewalk and the street is the responsibility of the resident and should be free of weeds.
• Residents must also ensure bushes and shrubs are trimmed and well maintained, and that tree branches do not encroach across property lines.
• Lawn, scrub, and tree clippings must be disposed of properly. In the Fall, leaves have to raked and disposed of properly.

• Answer: Virginia Code § 13-379 provides that every person 14 years of age or younger shall wear a protective helmet that at least meets the consumer product safety commission standard whenever riding or being carried on a bicycle, or electric power-assisted bicycle on any highway, sidewalk, or public bicycle path.
